Join the fun on Saturday, December 5th, 2009 for GK “Paskuhan”

Dance–a-thon event at Finn Hall of Holy Name Church in West Roxbury from 3pm to 11pm.

Featuring "themed music," from the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s, '90s and today. Dancers are encouraged to wear costumes from their favorite era, and prizes will be awarded at the end of the night to those who are best dressed for each era. All sponsored dancers are eligible for various prizes, including a grand prize winner for the dancer or team who earns the highest amount of pledges.

Paskuhan Dance-a-Thon will be a lot of FUN!

The GK Paskuhan Dance-a-thon is a fundraiser to raise money for Gawad Kalinga (GK). Gawad Kalinga (in English, giving care) is an integrated, sustainable, holistic program, which aims to alleviate poverty not just in the Philippines but in the world, by transforming and empowering poor communities through its various programs. GK’s vision for the Philippines is a slum-free, squatter-free nation through a simple strategy of providing land for the landless, homes for the homeless, food for the hungry and as a result providing dignity and peace for every Filipino. Want to join us? Here's what you need to do:

  1. Be a sponsored dancer(s). Register as an individual or a team! However, we are encouraging everyone to form teams, that way you can take turns on the dance floor, kind of like a dance relay! Then you don’t have to be at the dance floor all the time by having your team take shifts. Registration is $10 per person, or waived if pledges of $100 or more are collected. For a team of five, registration is $50, or waived if pledges of $500 or more are collected.
  2. Raise a minimum of $20 per dancer.
  3. Get ready to dance for three (3) to six (6) hours!

If you are interested, register online or dowload the registration form. Please send your registration fees to Gracita Chiefe, 10 Cormey Circle, Randolph, MA, 02368

General admission tickets will be sold at the door for $10.00 for non-sponsored guests.
